The Panasonic GF2 will be announced on November 4th (Thursday). There are still no reliable specs or any other details for this camera, except that it will have the 12MP sensor from the Panasonic G2 and it will be smaller in size. This will be the first major announcement since Photokina ended over a month ago.

Panasonic GF2 camera (replacement of the GF1) will be announced this week. The new GF2 should be the smallest mirrorless camera to date and will use the Panasonic G2 12MP sensor (Panasonic already confirmed that they will not use the 16MP sensor form the GF2). Korean Radio Research Agency already has an entry for a “Panasonic PKL-DMC-GF2” camera:

DSLR magazine published an interview with executives from Panasonic and they confirmed that the replacement of the Panasonic GF1 will not have the new 16.05MP sensor from the latest Panasonic GH2 camera.
