The latest patents applications from Tamron, Sigma, Panasonic, Fuji and Canon

The most interesting new patent is for a Tamron 115mm f/1.4 VC full frame DSLR lens – I already covered it on NikonRumors. Sigma sd Quattro camera now shipping

The Sigma sd Quattro camera is now shipping and is already in stock in Japan. For US pricing and availability check B&H or Adorama. Amazon Germany is now taking pre-orders. Yodobashi has a nice report on the sd camera with many sample photos (see also part 2).

Three Sigma lenses have exposure issues with the Canon 1D X Mark II camera

Sigma issued an advisory about using their 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art, 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art and 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM lenses with the Canon 1D X Mark II DSLR camera – the exposure of the image may not be accurate. Sigma is working on a firmware update to correct the issue. Here are the details:
