The big 2016 Photokina recap (list of rumored cameras and lenses)

After the official Canon and Fuji announcements, this is an updated list on what to expect in the next few weeks before the start of the Photokina show:

See this post for a detailed list of upcoming Olympus products.

See this post for a detailed list of upcoming Panasonic products.

After several of the perviously rumored Nikon products were already officially announced, there is still hope for a new Nikon mirrorless camera and a Nikkor 19mm tilt shift lens.

As usual there is no reliable info on what Sony will announce next and I am not going to play the guessing game here. I only received some info about a new Sony 135mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss T* lens.

See this post on LeicaRumors for all expected Leica products.

A new Canon EOS M5 mirrorless camera is expected to be announced before Photokina. At least one more mirrorless camera will most likely be announced after Photokina.

It’s not really a “recap” if the post consists of “click on this previous link to see information.” ;~)

Moreover, you’re missing some announcements that I expect to hear.

    • Fell free to tell us which announcements I missed.

Sort of my point. You didn’t actually recap all the announcements here. So for me to tell you what you missed I have to go read a bunch of other previous articles. Not going to do that. But I’ll offer this: you’ve probably missed the one announcement that will get talked about the most.

        • So I will say it again, what is the point of telling me I missed something without telling me what I missed. Are you sure you know what I missed? Because I am not.

And would that be the D810 replacement with the new focusing system and more pixels??

          • I seriously doubt that. This is why I do not like this type of comments that are widely open to interpretations without actually telling us anything new.

Nikon D750/610 replacement and Sony A9 is not in this list Peter.

          • Because I don’t think those cameras will be announced at Photokina. I could be wrong of course – we will find out in exactly 2 weeks.

            What about new 70-200 f/2.8?

          5D Mark IV?

  • Again, what the bloody hell is happening about a D810 replacement (true D800 replacement, not incremental improvement)? Any word?

    • Nope, I think there is nothing really better available out there to replace that model.
