Sony did not announce any photography products at the CES and CP+ shows

Sony did not announce any new products during their press conference yesterday at the CP+ show in Japan. I believe Sony is the only company that did not reveal a single photography product during the 2015 CES and CP+ shows (with the exception of new action cameras).  Sony was expected to release several new FE full frame mirrorless lenses. The company's last "serious" announcement was the a7II camera at the end of November.

I personally would love to see a new Sony RX2 camera or at least a firmware update for the RX1.

Canon’s 120MP sensor is nothing new

canon-cmos-sensor-120-megapixels The 120MP CMOS APS-H sensor Canon was on display at the 2015 CP+ show is nothing new - it was already officially announced back in 201o. The 2.2 µm pixel pitch sensor (29.2mm x 20.2mm, 13280x9184 pixels) can get 9.5fps "made possible by reading multiple pixels simultaneously at high speeds - a process Canon is calling parallel signal processing'".

Upcoming Fuji XF prototype lenses shown at the 2015 CP+ show

At the 2015 CP+ show in Japan, Fuji showed several new lenses that are part of the updated 2015 roadmap:

  • Fuji XF 120mm f/2.8 R 1:1 Macro lens
  • Fuji XF 35mm f/2 R lens
  • Fuji 1.4x teleconverter for the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR, XF 120mm f/2.8 R Macro and XF 100-400mm lenses

The other pictured lenses are: XF 16mm f/1.4, XF 90mm f/2, XF and 100-400mm (aperture not yet announced).

The new Olympus E-M5 II is currently in stock at Amazon (via third party reseller, available also in silver). The Amazon listing also mentions the three upcoming Olympus MFT lenses:
