Pentax K-r, DA 35mm 1:2.4 lens, Pentax Optio RS1000 and RZ10 cameras now official

Pentax announced their new K-r model DSLR, a new DA 35mm 1:2.4 prime lens and two point and shoot cameras: Pentax Optio RS1000 and RZ10.

Pentax K-r is currently available for pre-order on Amazon in different colors and lens combinations.

Tomorrow (September 10th.) Pentax will announce:

Pentax K-r: 12.4 MP CMOS sensor, Safox IX AF module, 6 im/s in JPEG mode, 96% 0.85x pentamirror viewfinder, 3″ 921,000 dots LCD screen, Li-ion battery with optional AA-batteries adapter, infra-red data transmission; 649$ body only, 699$ with 18-55mm.

Pentax DA 35mm f/2.4 AL lens: one aspherical lens, bayonet made of polycarbonate, 45mm (length), 124g, 0.3m minimum focus distance; 199$.

Two new Pentax Optio point and shoot cameras.

OBERKOCHEN, 09.09.2010 – Carl Zeiss has expanded its popular Compact Prime CP.2 lens series with two new focal lengths: the 50 mm with macro and 100 mm with close focus function. These lenses have been specially developed for filming with HDSLR cameras and will be presented for the first time at the IBC in Amsterdam (September 10-14). Product delivery is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2010. Retail price starts at EUR 3.700 excl. VAT.
