SLR Magic introduces three new lenses

SLR Magic announced three new lenses: a wide-angle pinhole lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras, a new 11mm f/1.4 Toy Lens for Penatx Q cameras and a Toy Bokehmorphic lens for Sony E mount. All three lenses are currently available for sale on eBay.

Samyang to release a 24mm tilt shift lens in few months

Samyang confirmed on Facebook that in addition to a new 8mm T3.8 VDSLR lens (APS-C), the company will also be releasing a new 24mm tilt/shift lens later this year. This is not really a surprise since Samyang/Rokinon has made several inquires about a potential tilt/shift lens in the past.

Canon 5D Mark II price drop

As previously mentioned, the price of the Canon 5D Mark II dropped to $2,199.00 today ($2,999.00 for the body+lens kit).

The new Canon EOS 5D Mark III was announced few days ago with a $3,499.00 price tag for body only.

New Hasselblad cameras will start shipping with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

Hasselblad announced that starting March 12, all of their newly purchased cameras will include a version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. My guess is that they are talking about Lightroom 4 which will probably be released on March 6th.

Patent for a new Olympus 17mm f/2.8 lens (plus the latest Canon patents)

Olympus filed a patent 201237640 in Japan for a new 17mm f/2.8 lens. The current Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8 pancake lens ($299.99) was announced on June 16, 2009. The newly patented lens will have 7 elements in 5 groups compared to 6 elements in 4 groups in the current model.

Silver Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera spotted

Silver Fuji X-Pro1

A silver Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera was spotted at an event in Taiwan. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like the hood will be silver as well (maybe even the lenses?).

This silver X-Pro1 will probably come as a limited edition, similar to the black Fuji X100.

The "regular" black Fuji X-Pro1 camera is currently scheduled for a March 28th release.
