According to Amateurphotographer the new Panasonic GH1 will not be available in the UK this month as originally planned. Now the expected delivery is early/mid June. I expect those delays to be world wide. I wonder what’s the reason for this late introduction.
This an addition to the previously posted Pentax K-7 specs (some specs are repeated):
In addition the German site Tekade is taking pre-orders for the “Pentax KxxxD” – price: aprox. 1500 EUR (around US$ 2000), available end of June – beginning of July:
This is the official response from Panasonic (US) Customer Service on a customer inquiry:
“… this model has been carried over into our 2009 Digital Still Camera line up, and will be available through out the remainder of 2009 and early into 2010”

This information kind of matches previous reports that Panasonic may skip the LX4 model and go directly for Lumix LX5 in the same time frame. It remains to be seen whether Panasonic will switch this product line to 4/3 in the future.

Give it some time for this blog to get established and you will be seeing some good stuff here.
Sony Taiwan has scheduled a press conference for 19 May. Expected are three new Sony DLSRs (A230, A330, A380) and maybe two new lenses.
Good move for Sony, since Pentax announcement is on May 21st…
This info comes from dslrmagazine (for English translation, click here). The bottom line:
Pentx K-7 is not released yet and rumors about the K30D started to float around. According to Pentax sales rep the K30D will be available in January-February 2010.
Another rumor based on the Czech photo magazine PHOTO Life says that the Pentax K30D will come at the same time as the K-7 (May 21st).
