Sigma sd Quattro H mirrorless camera to be released on December 20th

The Sigma sd Quattro H mirrorless camera is rumored to be released on December 20th. Pre-orders will open on December 6th. The Japanese price of the camera will be ¥139,860 (around $1,200). The Sigma sd Quattro H camera was announced back in February 2016 and comes with a 45MP APS-H Foveon X3 Quattro CMOS sensor and a dedicated Sigma SA mount. A reader sent me the above pictures of what appears to be a new Yongnuo 50mm f/1.4 lens. The Chinese company Yongnuo already has several full frame prime DSLR lenses for Nikon and Canon mount, including a 50mm f/1.8 and two upcoming, not-yet-announced 85mm f/1.8 and 100mm f/2 lenses.

Big Sigma lens price increase coming to Europe

Most (if not all) Sigma lenses sold in Europe will go up in price between 9% and 28% on January 1, 2017. The list above shows the old and new dealer pricing for some lenses (check the retail EU prices for Sigma lenses at Amazon.de and Amazon.fr).

RRS will also have a 5-10% price increase on tripods and heads effective January 1st, 2017.
