  • Announcement at the beginning of 2015
  • Two versions: NX400 and NX400EVF (with EVF)
  • Tiltable LCD screen
  • 1/8000s mechanical shutter
  • 28MP sensor with OSPDAF II
  • 6/8fps at full resolution
  • Tripled buffer size compared to NX300
  • Built-in GPS
  • Expected prices: between $650 and $850

Sony a5100 and Sony QX30 cameras listed on Korea Radio Research Laboratory website

Sony a5100 camera rumors
The Korea Radio Research Laboratory website has two new registrations for a Sony a5100 and QX30 cameras. Few weeks ago the a5100 model was also registered at the Indonesian Communication Agency website. The new camera will replace the current α5000 and will most likely be announced at Photokina. The QX30 will be a replacement for the current QX10 lens camera module for smart phones.

Fujifilm published an updated X mount lens roadmap (2015)

Fujifilm releases an updated roadmap for their X mount lenses – here are the main updates:

  • New XF 90mm f/2.0R lens scheduled for mid 2015
  • Next available lens will be the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R OIS WR
  • XF 16-55mm f/2.8 WR will be available spring 2015
  • Previously announced “High speed wide angle lens” confirmed as being the XF 16mm f/1.4 R
  • “Super Tele-Photo Zoom” will be available winter 2015

Pentax announced a new K-3 Prestige Edition DSLR. Looking at the key features, the new camera is identical to the “regular” K-3 model and it seems to just have a different grey color and matching battery grip. The price is $1399.95.

Sony 2/3″ curved sensor coupled with a 20mm f/1.2 lens specifications

The Chinese website cnbeta.com published the specifications of a 2/3″ curved Sony sensor coupled with a 20mm f/1.2 lens. This specific setup is designed for a cell phone camera. Sony is also rumored to announce a RX1 replacement that will feature a full frame curved sensor. There is a good chance that Nikkei‘s report on the new Sony curved sensor from earlier this month was for this 2/3″ sensor and not for a full frame version.
