New Samyang filter holder SFH-14 specifically designed for the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens was announced today:

Canon filed patents in Japan for for several new pancake zoom lenses for their EOS-M mirrorless system: 18-40mm f/3.5-5.6 (pancake), 18-55mm f/4-8 (pancake), 10-20mm f/4-5.6 and 9-18mm f/4-5.6.

The second Canon patent is for 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2 and 135mm f/2.8 full frame lenses with IS (image stabilization)

In addition to the E-M10, Olympus will also announce another E-M5 kit with the 12-40mm f/2.8 lens and three new Stylus compact cameras:

Here are few better images of the upcoming Fuji X-T1 camera that will be announced on January 28th (see rumored specifications):

There could be a reason for the “announcement of an announcement” Hasselblad did earlier today for their 50MP CMOS sensor based H5D-50c medium format camera: PhaseOne is going to announce their new IQ250 digital back (see screenshot above) that will have… a new 50MP CMOS sensor, 2 fps, 15 stops dynamic range and ISO up to 6400. The official PhaseOne announcement should happen this Friday and they will actually show a working camera (unless they decide to postpone it after Hasselblad’s move).

I received the above picture today and was told that this is the upcoming Hasselblad Solar camera. The confusion is that the Solar model was supposed to be based on the Sony a7 and should look like that:

After Hasselblad quietly replaced its CEO (does this means the end of the Lunar and Stellar?), the company announced today the launch of the H5D-50c – the world’s first medium format camera with a 50MP CMOS sensor (medium format sensors are CCD). Some of the main advantages of the CMOS sensor are better ISO, faster capture rate and longer shutter speed.

The first appearance of the new Fuji X-T1 camera yesterday was not really a leak, but part of a new teaser campaign by Fujifilm for their upcoming new X model. Follow this dedicated page for more info. Here are some additional Fuji X-T1 images:
