Update: Pentax K-30/K-300 (K-r replacement) to be announced in 4-5 months

A quick update on my previous post from earlier today – the Pentax K-r replacement will probably be called K-30 or K-300 and will be announced in few months (before the summer) and not during the CP+ show next week. The Pentax K-30/K-300 is supposed to be placed between the K-5 and K-r models.

Rumor: Pentax will announce a K-r replacement at the CP+ show next week

In addition to the mirrorless K-01, there are rumors about a new DSLR camera from Pentax that will replace the already discontinued K-r model. The announcement is expected to be at the CP+ show in Japan next week.

Christian Fletcher published few samples taken with the Fuji X-Pro1 camera. The image above was taken at ISO 6400 (click on image for full resolution). Christian will be posting new images over the next few days, so bookmark his website.

I guess Fuji was serious when they said about the X-Pro1 that “resolution and low noise will surpass rival 35mm full size sensor“.

The official X-Pro1 website doesn’t include any sample images taken above ISO 1600.
