Rumors about a new Pentax full frame DSLR camera have been circulating for a while. Here are some new updates:
The previously rumored Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens is now official. Adorama has the price listed as $499. The Canon version is expected later this month, Nikon mount will be released in July, Sony and Pentax versions will be out later this year. The current 18-250mm model will be available for sale through the summer.
Sigma also announced a price drop on their 70-300 APO Macro lens (currently $199).
Schneider Kreuznach announced their plans to start producing lenses for mirrorless cameras.The company has been part of the Micro Four Thirds System Standard Group for a while and logically one of the upcoming lenses will be a 14mm f/2.0 Super Angulon for Micro Four Thirds. Expect the announcement during Photokina with a price tag around $1500. The 14mm f/2.0 lens will have 10 elements and 4 aspheric surfaces. Schneider Kreuznach also plans to announce 30mm f/1.4 and 60mm f/2.4 macro|portrait lens for Micro Four Thirds.
In addition to the 18-55mm f/3.5-6.7 lens from last week, Pentax filed another patent in Japan for a 18-70mm f/3.5-7.1 mirrorless APS-C lens:
Sigma is expected to announce a new 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM lens for Canon mount. The new version will add macro capability to the current Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM lens and will be available on June 25, 2012.
Samyang announced their new 8mm f/2.8 UMC fisheye lens for Sony E and Samsung NX mounts. The price is £279.99 | €349.99 (no US pricing yet), shipping will start in July 2012. In the US, Samyang lenses can be purchased from B&H.
