More leaked images of the Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera

Next Olympus camera will be a PEN

Talking to Techradar, Toshiyuki Terada from Olympus Japan mentioned that the next Olympus camera to be released will be a PEN and not a OM-D model:

“Looking at product lifespan, I think the next issue will be a new PEN.”

The last PEN cameras, the E-P3 and E-PL3 were announced on June 30, 2011.

Is Samsung really preparing to announce 4 new NX cameras and a 32MP CMOS APS-C sensor?

In addition to the Samsung NX20, NX210 and NX1000, there is now talk about a fourth mirrorless camera called NX-300 that will have the same design as the NX-20 but without the EVF. The NX-300 is expected to be released in July, 2012 – this is according to a dpreview forum member who back in June of 2011 posted about the upcoming NX200 camera few months before the official announcement. Here are the details:

  • Samsung NX210 will be the same as the NX200 but with added Wi-Fi capabilities, available in April 2012.
  • Samsung NX20, available in May 2012. The NX20 has a retro Konica IIIa design with 1.8M EVF, manual control and swivel AMOLED display. It has the same NX-200 sensor but with a better processor and buffer. The retail price for NX-20 body only is $950. There will be two new lenses, the 16-80mm and 12-24mm and a new flash.
  • Samsung NX1000 will be a cheaper NX model, available in May, 2012.
  • NX-300 has the same NX-20 design but without EVF. It will be released in July, 2012.
