What else is new?

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens for Sony and Pentax mounts are already shipping in the US and are currently in stock. Fujifilm released new firmware updates for the X-E1 and X-Pro 1 cameras which improves the AF performance of the new 55-200mm lens. Topaz labs released new Photoshop plugin called Clarity.

Sony filed a patent application in Japan (2013-61476) for a full frame 35mm f/1.8 mirrorless lens designed for curved sensors. The latest patents from Sony, Canon, Olympus and Konica Minolta

Sony filed a patent 2013-54164 for 16-135mm f/3.5-5.6 and 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 APS-C lenses. Sony also patented (2013-50630) a half mirror that will not “black out” during exposure. Canon filed a patent (2013-57802) for a 50mm f/1.4 lens. The patent contains also calculations for a 50mm f/1.2 lens.
