Rumor: new Lumix X PRO lenses from Panasonic

Panasonic is rumored to be releasing a new series of high-end pro lenses called Lumix X. Another rumor from the same source indicates that Panasonic is also working on new lenses with motorized retractable zoom. Nikon’s new mirrorless system is also rumored to have lenses with electronic zoom buttons (see this patent).

When I initially reported the rumor about a new digital recording binoculars from Sony, I did not believe that such product exists, but today Sony announced the DEV-3 and DEV-5: a new gadget that combines a digital camera, camcorder and binoculars. Kodak’s patents may be worth $3 billion

Bloomberg and WSJ published articles that Kodak’s patents are probably worth $3 billion and the company has started marketing them to potential buyers that could include Microsoft, Samsung, and even Google. The company’s equity is currently  valued at $600 million after a series of negative financial news.
