Canon EOS 5DS/R camera additional coverage

First, a quick report on the new Canon EOS 5DS/R camera from a reader who attended a recent 5DS event in Asia (click on images for larger view):

The Canon 5DS/R will start shipping in June, 2015
MSRP in Asia will be around HK$26-27k
The camera does feel heavy and sturdy
Continuous shooting is slow as expected
Shutter operation is soft (as in the 5DIII)
The duplex display inside the viewfinder feels a bit complicated

The Canon EOS 5DS/R pre-orders will start tomorrow in the US according to the product listings at B&H:

Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera to start shipping next week

The Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera was announced few weeks ago only for the European and Asian markets. The camera will start shipping on March 26 and is already available for pre-order on Amazon UK, Amazon Germany and Amazon Japan (they will not ship electronics to the US). US readers can purchase the Canon M3 from DigitalRev (they ship internationally) or on eBay.
