JVC GC-PX10 hybrid camera US pricing and availability announced

The JVC GC-PX10 hybrid camera was announced during the IFA show in Berlin last month. Thanks to the FALCONBRID high speed imaging engine, the GC-PX10 is capable of shooting 60 fps stills and 300 fps video. The camera US price is $899.95 and is expected to start shipping this month.

No new Pentax cameras in 2011

The previous rumors for a new Pentax products announced during the Salon de la Photo show in Paris (October 6-10, 2011) turned out to be a mistake according to this forum post from a PentaxForum member who actually visited the Pentax booth and talked to the reps:

  • The print on the invitation about a new product was a simple mistake.
  • There will be no new product this year.
  • There will be maybe something new in January, but we don’t have to worry about waiting until Photokina.
  • The Pentax camera division will not merge with the Ricoh camera division in the coming year.

  • One model which is integrates the 1D and 1Ds

  • 14 fps (12 fps with AF)
