New FotodioX PRONTO Leica M-mount to Sony E-mount autofocus adapter II announced

The Russian Zenitar and Helios lenses are coming to Germany – a company representative confirmed that a new batch of lenses is being shipped to a distributor in Germany:
“A German distributor has purchased another shipment of photographic lenses from the Zenitar and Helios product lines, produced by the the Krasnogorsky Zavod (KMZ) of the Shvabe Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation). The equipment is supplied with different mounts for use in Sony, Nikon and Canon mirrorless cameras. The batch included two new products that were released last year: the compact Zenitar-12, suitable for photographing landscapes and large groups of people even in confined spaces, and the Zenitar 2.8/60 Macro with an electronically controlled diaphragm.”
In the US Zenit lenses are sold at the official Zenit US website and at B&H.

In their latest press release, Meyer Optik Görlitz confirmed that their lenses will be released also for Canon R and Nikon Z mirrorless mounts (in addition to the existing Canon EF, Fuji X, Leica L, Leica M, M42, MFT, Nikon F, Pentax K, and Sony E mounts):
“In addition, new versions of the famous Biotars are currently being developed in various focal lengths. As well as versions of the existing lenses for the latest camera mounts (Canon R and Nikon Z). The exact dates of those releases are difficult to specify due to the current situation, but will definitely all be in the second half of this year.”

For almost a decade Olympus has been making official statements that they will not make a full-frame camera (see this post, this post, and this post). Back in 2018 Olympus was invited to join the L-mount Alliance and they refused. A recent Sigma presentation indicated that a new member may join the L-mount Alliance in the near future. Of course, some clickbait websites immediately made up “rumors” that OM Digital will join the L-mount Alliance, which of course is far from the truth.
