The latest lens patents from Canon, Pentax and Sony

The most interesting patent applications this week come from Canon: 6.7mm f/1.4, 3.6mm f/1.2 and 12mm f/1.2 lenses. Canon also filed patents for a 24-70mm f/2.8 IS and 24-80mm f/2.8 IS lenses (full frame).

Tokina filed a patent for a 70-200mm f/4 full frame lens. LumoPro LP180 quad-sync manual flash announced. Kodak’s PixPro AZ521 camera is the world’s first compact camera with 52x optical zoom.    Ricoh filed a patent  for a new bounce flash.     Canon filed patents for 28mm, 35mm, 40mm and 45mm f/2.8 full frame pancake lenses.
