Startup company Lytro promises to redefine photography with computational imaging

I just came across this startup company called Lytro that is trying to remove “the physical constraints of camera and lens systems” by using computational photography processes:

“A Lytro camera can do things that have been considered impossible since the invention of photography. Computational cameras will make photography dramatically simpler, higher performance, and much more fun.”

Fuji X100 goes up in price

The Fuji X100 camera (see reviewnow costs $1400 at B&H. Currently the price increase is only at B&H, but I will not be surprised if others will follow (similar to the recent Nikon price increases):

Amazon is still taking pre-orders at the original price of $1,199.95. The lens hood + adapter and the X100 leather case are also available for pre-order.

Few days ago Fujifilm posted new articles about the X100 processor and several interviews with photographers who have used the camera.
