Pentax full frame DSLR camera is coming, but not tomorrow

Ok, it seems that the rumors I reported in my last Pentax post were bogus, but this doesn’t change the fact that a full frame Pentax DSLR camera is coming soon – see yesterday’s tweet from Pentax Australia. Last year Pentax Australia also tried to convince their Twitter audience that “good things are coming“.

Canon rumored to announce high megapixel DSLR camera by the end of 2013

The rumored high megapixel Canon DSLR camera will probably be announced in October/September this year. The new 1 series body will most likely have a 47MP sensor, but there are also rumors for a 39MP or 50+MP sensors. The release time frame for this high MP Canon camera matches with the rumored 36MP Nikon D4x announcement.

Brenthaven BX2 camera backpack review

This is a quick review of the Brenthaven BX2 camera backpack (Model #: 1703). The first thing I noticed after I picked up the BX2 was how light it was – with a weight of 2.8 lb I believe this is one of the lightest backpacks in this category (the similar sized Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack 250 AW for example weights 3.9 lb).

Another price increase on Fujifilm photographic films coming next month

Today Fujifilm announced another “substantial“, at least double digit price increase on Fujifilm photographic films effective from April 2013 onward. Just a reminder that in May last year the company already had a 20% across the line price increase on black and white, color negative, and color reversal films in the US.
