Another Wells Fargo article leaked the upcoming Canon PowerShot G1X camera:

  • 1.5 in. 14.3MP CMOS sensor
  • 4x zoom (28-112mm) optical zoom lens
  • aperture range: f/2.5-16
  • 14-bit RAW file support
  • new DIGIC 5 image processor
  • up to 6fps/4.5 fps at full resolution
  • face detection
  • HDR mode
  • FullHD 1080 video
  • 720p Movie Digest mode (automatically compile a video from stills)
It seems that Canon is not ready to release a mirrorless camera system and they just spiced up their G line.

Fuji’s all black X100 limited edition camera

Back in November I mentioned that a new black Fuji X100 limited edition camera will be released in early 2012. A picture of the box was included in the article from the French magazine Responses Photo. “Only” 10,000 units will be produced. The price was not mentioned.

Pentax K-5 also discontinued?

According to a post on kakaku.com, the Pentax K-5 DSLR camera is discontinued and will be available for sale until the stock runs out. The K-r model was already listed as discontinued back in November of 2011.

I have not heard any rumors of Pentax releasing a new DSLR for the PMA show next week. Maybe they will have one for the CP+ show next month in Japan?
