This was the Canon announcement on September 22nd:
Several users have reported a clicking sound coming out of the new Sony NEX-5N during video recording (see above clip). It seems that Sony has acknowledged the problem and is promising a “performance improvement”. Here is a quote from Sony support site:
New rumors indicate that Fuji may announce a new line of Fujinon lenses for Canon EF mount in March, 2012. Now that’s a shocker. Fujifilm recently mentioned in an interview with Reuters that they may re-enter the interchangeable lens camera market with a product that is fully developed in-house, but my guess was that they are talking about a mirrorless camera and lenses.
Canon will have $100 instant saving in the US on the 5D MARKII camera starting September 25th (till October 29th).
Canon already revealed their plans for a “historic global announcement” on November 3rd, 2011 in Hollywood. RED’s CEO Jim Jannard also wants to announce their RED Scarlet camera on the same date and he was not shy to mention to stir up the RedForum with his comments:

On September 21st Nikon will present their new mirrorless camera. The next day, on September 22nd, Canon will have their own announcement but it is still not clear what will be introduced.
From the beginning of 2011, the rumors were that Pentax will announce two mirrorless cameras. As the months passed by, the chance of a second mirrorless system diminished, even though rumors continued to flow. My guess three weeks ago was that Ricoh’s purchase of Pentax did put the plans for second mirrorless camera on hold.
Yesterday TMCNet published this unusual press release stating that Ricoh is working on a new mirrorless camera developed by Pentax:
