Hasselblad with a Leica killer?

Hasselblad will reveal their secret in 4 days. I got some rumors today that besides a new website, they will also introduce “an interesting new option” which will be their answer to the Leica S2. Don’t have other details at that point.

Could the teased Olympus camera be…

This is the upcoming Olympus camera (at least what we can see of it) looks similar to the very first Olympus m4/3 prototype.

Olympus E-P3 (PEN 3)

Yes, based on the information I received this teaser is for the upcoming Olympus E-P3. It will be a cheaper version compared to previous models. Don’t expect an announcement during PMA (maybe they will show a prototype?) – the official release is scheduled for Photokina or shortly before. After the Olympus E-P3 is announced, the E-P1 will be stopped from production.

More Fuji cameras expected before PMA

The previously rumored Fuji cameras are the foreign versions of some of the models that will be released in the US. For example, the s2500 will be the s2550 in the US, the s1730 will be the s1800 and the s1600 and jx530 may not be released in the US.

But there will be more:

  • Fuji will also announce the HS-10 camera (made in Indonesia, all other cameras will be made in China).
  • Another model will be the Fuji F-80 that will have a touchscreen and EXR sensor.
  • Fuji z300 (with touchscreen) will also be introduced.
  • Most of the cameras are expected to have Fujinon lenses.

The official announcement is expected on February 2nd, 2010.

Last, but not least: Samsung WB2000 leak

Update: Amazon UK removed the Samsung WB2000 entry from their website.

Oled-Info noticed that besides the recently announced  Samsung HZ35W/WB65o and Samsung CL80/ST550, Amazon UK has also listed another, unreleased camera – the Samsung WB2000 which is suppose to be available on May 24, 2010 for £329.99. It will have a 10mp sensor, 5X optical zoom and a 3″ AMOLED screen:

Olympus is hiding something, literally

This screenshot was taken from the Olympus US website. I am really confused, because if Olympus releases a new E-P3, it will mean that the m4/3 line is on a less than 6 months life cycle (E-P2 was announced on November 5th 2009, E-P1 on June 16th 2009).
