Does this memory card door look too big for a SD type memory type? Will the new Pentax K-7 support CF memory cards? The leaked Pentax K-7 specs did not provide any details on the memory card (images form Pentax China).
Few days ago Polaroid announced the availability of the Polaroid Two/Pogo Instant digital camera. Now Polaroid is coming with even bigger plans:
“A senior source at the US-based company said it is likely that the firm will launch a 6x4in version as part of its upcoming range of cameras that use existing Zink printing technology.”
In addition to the 6x4in format, Polaroid is also interested in a 3x4in print size.
“ZINK™ stands for Zero Ink™ – an amazing new way to print in full color without the need for ink cartridges or ribbons. The ZINK Technology encompasses both the ZINK Paper™ and the intelligence embedded in every ZINK-enabled device. The technology enables a new category of color printing devices and paper that work as a system to print in a whole new way.”
The above screenshot was taken form Pentax Canada. The official release will be on May 20 (US & Canada) and May 21 in Japan (not sure about Europe yet). There is a whole web site dedicated to the new Pentax K. It is also not clear if the model name will be K or K-7, since all banner just say “The New K”, but maybe they refer to the whole K series and not to the specific model K. Olympus is gaining momentum for its next Micro Four Third camera that should be released in the next few months.
This is according to Gap Intelligence, a market research firm (twitter link). I already reported the A330 leak and the two new Sony lenses.
